If you’ve ever grappled with motion sickness, you know how miserable it can be. Whether you’re on a long road trip, a turbulent flight, or a boat ride with friends, nausea can ruin the moment and sometimes your entire day. But for one determined woman, the search for a natural solution became personal. This is the story of how our Founder, Nicole Burdock, created GoPatch, a side-effect free patch for motion sickness relief. Her DIY experiment became a product that became a game-changer for many all around the world.

A Cruise, a Conversation, & a Creative Spark

Nicole Burdock had battled motion sickness her entire life. Whether on boats, planes, or winding roads, she knew the feeling of nausea all too well. Despite this, her life mentor surprised her with a cruise to Mexico as a graduation gift—a trip meant for celebration, not struggles.

While aboard the ship, Nicole observed her mentor speaking with a family whose children were also suffering from motion sickness. Listening closely to their conversation, she found herself moved—and inspired. That night, her years of discomfort, her decade of studies in naturopathic medicine and Asian Medicine, and a burst of creative thinking came together in an unexpected way.

Testing the Idea: A Day on the Bay

Years later, while working at her kitchen counter, Nicole crafted a patch – she utilized some cotton bandages and duct tape. She often wondered where she’d find people to test these handmade patches on. Would they be in a car? On a boat? Who would want to voluntarily get motion sick?

The perfect opportunity presented itself while she was sailing in the San Francisco Bay with a few clients to watch the Blue Angels. Nicole brought along a handful of her home-made patches, offering them to the group. Ten people were wearing them that day, the captain’s wife included. Nicole couldn’t wrap her head around the fact that the captain’s wife, someone who actually lived on a boat, still got motion sickness.

By the end of the day, the results were undeniable: no one reported feeling ill, and the captain’s wife was so impressed that she later approached Nicole with a simple request—she wanted more.

This remedy, inspired by a desire to fill a need for those struggling as Nicole had her entire life, was the beginning of what would eventually become GoPatch.

The Call that Changed Everything

The following Monday, Nicole received a phone call from the captain’s wife. She didn’t just want a few more patches—she wanted 30 to share with her friends and family. When she asked how much they would cost, Nicole replied without hesitation, “I’ll just give them to you.”

The response she got changed everything:
“Nicole, you’re going to need some help.”

That moment marked the unofficial launch of GoPatch. What started as a personal experiment born from a life long struggle with motion sickness had now become something with the potential to help others in a big way.

GoPatch Today: Relief Rooted in Real Experience

Nicole’s journey from a lifetime plagued with nausea and the puking that followed to wellness innovator is what sets GoPatch apart. It wasn’t created in a lab or dreamed up in a marketing meeting—it was born from lived experience, real needs, and an unwavering desire to help people feel better naturally.

Today, GoPatch offers a side-effect free solution for motion sickness, designed to deliver fast and effective relief. Blending homeopathic ingredients with the wisdom of Asian Medicine, the patch works naturally to ease symptoms of nausea, vomiting, dizziness and disorientation aggravated by motion. The patch is applied over the navel to stimulate the body’s natural healing response.

For those who have missed out on life’s adventures because of motion sickness or nausea, GoPatch offers hope, healing, and freedom. And it all started with a little duct tape, a lot of heart, and one woman’s revolutionary idea.
